Rammstein rigging plot solution for Provinssirock

For the company Akun Tehdas based in Finland, IM-stee has designed a solution to support the rigging plot from Rammstein in their Prolyte 26×20 meter XXL roof construction at the Provinssirock festival in Seinäjoella, Finland.

In close cooperation with Kari Wikström from Akun Tehdas the rental company which supplied the XXL roof construction, and Silke Tetzlaff from Krasenbrink and Bastians which made the final Structural calculation, IM-stee made the design of the pre-rig trusses and the additional goalpost which were necessary to support the 33500 Kg of lights, LED walls, scenery and PA.

To make it possible there was a big goal post build in front of the XXL roof construction which was supplied by Thorsten Klein of Malecon Ltd. The goalpost exist of D75T towers with a main span of Mammoth truss. From this goalpost there were 6 B100RV truss spans running completely to the back span of the XXL roof construction. These B100RV trusses were used to spread the heave loading, which was in the middle of the roof, to parts of the XXL roof which were less loaded. Besides these B100RV truss spans there were a lot of spreader trusses which support the rest of the rigging points.

This Project has proven that the practical and theoretical knowledge in combination with the focus on finding structurally safe solutions is a big advantage of IM-stee.
